UL 2417 certification process

As data centers evolve to support high-performance computing, artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency mining, immersion cooling is becoming a crucial thermal management tool. The fluid used in immersion applications is considered a critical component and must be evaluated to attain end-product certification.

To address the needs of the market, UL 2417, the Outline of Investigation for Immersion Cooling Fluids for Use With Information and Communication Technology Equipment, was introduced to evaluate the safety and performance of immersion cooling fluids.
