NORTHBROOK, Ill. — June 30, 2026 — UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding fire-retardant shirts and PVC-coated fire blankets, which bear unauthorized UL Certification Marks on the packaging and may pose safety risks.
The affected products have not been evaluated by UL Solutions against the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these products be immediately removed from service.
Product names:
- FLAME GUARD 100% COTTON SHIRT WITH PROBAN FIRE RETARDANT FINISH
- ENFOUTEK PVC COATED FIRE BLANKET ORANGE
The fire-retardant shirts bear an unauthorized UL Certification Mark — “UL” in a circle and the word “LISTED” — on their packaging and the following:
- FLAME GUARD
- 100% COTTON SHIRT WITH PROBAN FIRE RETARDANT FINISH
- MADE OF FABRIC WHICH MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF
- EN ISO 11612:2015
- EN ISO 11611
- EN 61482-1-2
- NFPA 2112:2018
- NFPA 70E
- ATPV 8 AS PER ASTM 1959
- HRC 2
- MADE IN INDIA
The PVC-coated fire blankets bear an unauthorized cULus Mark on their packaging and the following:

- FIRE BLANKET – ORANGE

The products were found in Saudi Arabia but may be available in other areas.
