Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and cybersecurity are often treated as separate disciplines, but in today’s connected product landscape, especially with the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), they are increasingly intertwined. In this webinar, our EMC and cybersecurity experts will explore how these domains intersect and answer key questions that product teams are asking.

We will explore topics such as:

  • Common challenges and risks related to EMC and cybersecurity
  • Exploring EMC and cybersecurity as complementary or separate disciplines
  • How to approach testing and compliance for EMC and for cybersecurity
  • How emerging standards or frameworks address both EMC and cybersecurity holistically
  • How the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) handle both EMC and cybersecurity
  • How regulatory bodies view the connection between EMC and cybersecurity in safety-critical industries such as automotive and medical
  • How to demonstrate IoT devices remain both electromagnetically compatible and cybersecure throughout their life cycle
  • The role of digital twins and simulation in evaluating risks during early design stages
  • How the relationship between EMC and cybersecurity may evolve with the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and edge computing
  • How the convergence of IoT and wireless technologies challenges traditional boundaries
  • How future product certifications may implement integrated EMC-cybersecurity assessments

Why you should attend

  • Explore how EMC and cybersecurity intersect.
  • Gain insights into how EMC and cybersecurity jointly impact product safety, security, performance and compliance.
  • Learn how potential regulatory shifts may require integrated testing and certification.
