The UL Solutions personnel certification programs are designed to provide individuals an opportunity to set themselves apart with a credential focused on critical knowledge and skills in the areas of functional safety, cybersecurity and autonomy. Individuals certified in these areas possess demonstrated knowledge of industry practices as evidenced by the completion of several competencies.
A UL Solutions Professional or eXpert certification is evidence of formal competency and is valid for three years, at which time you must recertify to maintain your Professional or eXpert level. Review the recertification conditions below.
Many standards ask compliance leaders to demonstrate the ongoing competency of individuals participating in a safety process. A third-party Professional-level or eXpert-level certificate for personnel provides evidence that an employee has the requisite knowledge of the industry standards to support developing a proper process.
Who should recertify?Holders of an unexpired UL Solutions Professional or eXpert certificate who are within 90 days of their renewal date should seek recertification.
