Motor controls that are utilized in HVAC equipment are now being subjected to new requirements for certification in North America. The most commonly used standard for HVAC motor controls, UL 508C, has been withdrawn effective Feb. 1, 2020, and will transition to UL 61800-5-1, the Standard for Adjustable Speed Electrical Power Drive Systems. UL 873 will also be withdrawn Oct. 23, 2023, and will transition to the UL 60730 series. Register for the webinar and be fully informed of the changes to come.
