UL’s laboratory in Poland expands capabilities in Europe

In August of 2020, UL’s safety laboratory in Poland expanded to become a significant safety laboratory for consumer technology in Europe. The laboratory serves manufacturers across several industries:

  • Consumer Electronics
  • Automotive and Mobility
  • Healthcare and Life Sciences
  • Batteries and Energy Storage
  • Industrial Products and Systems

Our laboratory experts perform testing on medium-size batteries and battery cells used for consumer products and medical devices. New capabilities also include testing against water ingress protection requirements for products that include an enclosure.

On April 13, 2021, UL’s laboratory in Poland received accreditation as part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Accreditation Scheme for Conformity Assessment (ASCA) program and is now one of the few laboratories in Europe able to perform testing according to the ASCA pilot program. Learn more.

Our wide range of accreditations allows us to help our customers gain European, U.S., Canadian and global market access.
