UL Solutions Warns of Unauthorized UL Marks on Rechargeable Hand Warmers

Unauthorized certification marks were applied to certain rechargeable hand warmers and their packaging, which have not been evaluated by UL Solutions, posing potential safety risks.

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Sept. 25, 2026 — UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding Model A23 Hand Warmers, which bear unauthorized UL Certification Marks on the products and packaging and may pose safety risks.

These rechargeable hand warmers, sold on Amazon.com, have not been evaluated by UL Solutions to the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these products be discarded in accordance with proper disposal methods for lithium-ion batteries.

The affected products bear an unauthorized UL Certification Mark and the following on the products and packaging:
