NORTHBROOK, Ill. — June 30, 2026 — UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding AA Fire Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers, which bear unauthorized UL Certification Marks and may pose safety risks.
The affected products have not been evaluated by UL Solutions against the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these fire extinguishers be immediately removed from service.
The affected fire extinguishers bear an unauthorized UL Certification Mark — “UL” in a circle — and the following:
- AA Fire
- Model: 10 Lbs ABC
- According to: UL299 & UL 711
- CLASSIFICATION 4A 60B:C
- Cylinder Size: D140 mm XH 410mm
- Cylinder thickness: 1.80 mm
- Min wall thickness: 1.35mm
- Cylinder weight: >2.5 kg
- Cylinder Capacity: 5.5 L
- Filling with: >4.5 kg DP
- Fire extinguisher N.W: 13.2 Lbs.
- Fire extinguisher MEAS: 16x16x48 cm
- Using Temperature: -30℃~ 60℃
- Working pressure: 261.068 PSI
- Test pressure: 420.61 PSI
- Burst pressure T087.78 PSI.
- Filled with ABC 90% dry chemical powder fire extinguish agent, charged with 9P% N3 gas
- Product quality warranty for 4 years except for man-made or other accidents caused cylinder
- Nanjing Jiayi Fire Technology Co., Ltd, China.
The products were found in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, but may be available in other areas.
