UL Solutions Warns of Unauthorized UL Marks on Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Unauthorized certification marks were applied to certain carbon monoxide detectors, which have not been evaluated by UL Solutions, posing potential safety risks.

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Sept. 25, 2026 — UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding Protech International carbon monoxide detectors, product model PTH-24D, which bear unauthorized UL Certification Marks and may pose safety risks.

These products, sold under the brand name LSENLTY through Amazon.com, have not been evaluated by UL Solutions to the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these products be removed from service and immediately replaced with properly UL Certified carbon monoxide detectors.

The affected products bear an unauthorized UL Certification Mark and the following on the product labels:

  • Carbon Monoxide Detector
  • Product Model: PTH-24D
  • Input Voltage: 100-220V 50/60Hz (Replaceable Plug)
  • Manufacturer: Protect International Group Co., Ltd.
