New Harmonized Standard Under the Toy Safety Directive

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2032 of 11 September 2026 updates the harmonized standards for experimental sets for chemistry and related activities, formamide content in foam toy materials and certain chlorinated phosphorus flame retardants (TCEP, TCPP and TDCP) in toy materials (EN 71-4:2020+A1:2025, EN 71-15:2025 and EN 71-16:2025 respectively).

Compliance with these published harmonized standards confers a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements set out in the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC from the date of publication of the reference of such standards in the Official Journal of the European Union.
