First UL battery laboratory in Europe opens

We are pleased to inform you that from October 2014 our first battery testing laboratory in Europe will be ready to support customers in the field of testing and certification of both cells and battery packs according to IEC / EN 62133 (edition 1 and 2), UN 38.3, UL 2054 and UL 1642. The laboratory will be located in our facility in Poland.

Testing solutions

Whether you are testing cells or battery packs, we have a testing solution for you.  We can evaluate and perform testing for the following cells and battery packs:

  • nickel cadmium (NiCd)
  • lead acid
  • nickel metal hydride (NiMH)
  • lithium ion (Li-ion)
  • lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer)

The brand new test laboratory is equipped with a large selection of test chambers for testing batteries of many sizes under various specifications and conditions.  UL can perform testing according to standardized test methods or based on specific test plans provided by the customer.

We offer battery performance testing services for many industries including telecommunications, medical, computer and others.
