He works across the organization to provide safety and security services and perform assessments while sharing his knowledge and expertise on complex software systems.

Nicholas provides insights necessary to help UL Solutions navigate two significant trends affecting the global market: the safe and secure integration of AI in automotive and industrial systems and the energy transition. He develops the strategic roadmap to support increased autonomy in connected vehicles and compliance with emerging global cybersecurity standards, while simultaneously shaping safety standards for the modern energy grid.

Nicholas’ leadership is backed by a master’s degree in systems engineering from Purdue University along with an MBA, a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt expert and represents UL Solutions on global committees that set today’s industry standards.
