New CPSC Age Determination Guidelines for Toys and Children’s Products

Learn how organizations determine the proper age groups for toys and children's products.

New CPSC Age Determination Guidelines for Toys and Children’s Products

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published the “2020 Age Determination Guidelines: Relating Consumer Product Characteristics to the Skills, Play Behaviors, and Interests of Children” on January 27th, 2020. The CPSC will begin to use the new guidelines on June 1st, 2020 and it will supersede the “2002 Age Determination Guidelines: Relating Children’s Ages to Toy Characteristics and Play Behavior.”

The new guidelines provide age-grading information for children’s toys, childcare articles, and other children’s products.

Watch our on-demand webinar to learn all about the new 2020 U.S. CPSC published guidelines.
