UL Solutions Warns of Counterfeit UL Certification Marks on Pipe Fittings

Counterfeit UL Certification Marks were applied to certain pipe fittings used in fire sprinkler systems, which have not been evaluated by UL Solutions, posing potential risks.

  • UL Solutions has identified counterfeit UL Certification Marks on YUK pipe fittings used in fire sprinkler systems.
  • UL Solutions advises building inspectors, fire protection professionals and code authorities to immediately remove affected pipe fittings from service and replace them with properly certified products bearing the authentic UL Mark.

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — July 31, 2026 — UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding YUK pipe fittings used in fire sprinkler systems, which bear counterfeit UL Certification Marks for the United States and Canada and may pose safety risks.

These products have not been evaluated by UL Solutions against the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these pipe fittings be immediately removed from service and replaced with properly certified products bearing the UL Mark.

The affected pipe fittings bear an unauthorized UL Certification Mark for the United States and Canada. The products are marked as shown below:
