UL Receives NABL Accreditation for Their Gurgaon Testing Laboratory (India)

The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has awarded UL's Gurgaon, India laboratory the International Organization for Standardization ISO 17025 accreditation.

The laboratory specializes in toy safety and quality testing of products intended for children, helping manufacturers identify and correct potential hazards throughout the production process, and provides the following quality and safety assessment services:

• Mechanical and physical testing
• Flammability testing
• Chemical analysis
• Label evaluation services and restricted substance testing

The laboratory also uses recognized test recognized methods to test toys for compliance with brand specifications, as well as regulations and standards required by global markets, including International (ISO 8124), European (EN 71), Canadian (SOR-2011) and American (ASTM F963, CPSIA, REACH) standards.
