Slovenia Releases Regulations on Non-Prepackaged Food Labeling

The Slovenian government has published ‘General Labeling of Non-Prepackaged Foodstuffs.

The regulations are part of the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 — food information to consumers.

The mandatory information for non-prepackaged food is listed under Article 4 of this regulation. The additional voluntary information concerning non-prepackaged foods must be specified in accordance with Chapter V of Regulation 1169/2011 / EU.

Published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 66 last October 21, 2016, the regulations will take effect on February 6, 2017.
