Singapore, Safety Mark, UL is Designated CO for Gas Cooking Appliances

UL’s offices in Singapore are now also designated as Singapore Safety Mark Certification Organization for gas cooking appliances.

On top of being a designated certification office for electrical appliances, UL’s offices in Singapore are now also designated as Singapore Safety Mark Certification Organization for gas cooking appliances. 

UL is designated for gas cooking appliances for the following product scope and standards:

​EN 30-1-1

​Forced-convention gas oven

​EN 30-1-2

​Glass-ceramic gas hob with enclosed covered burner

​EN 30-1-3

Gas cooking appliances are classified as high-risk products and hence renewal of Singapore Safety Mark Certificate of Conformity (COC) every three years will require retesting with a new issuance of a test report. UL’s offices in Carugate, Italy, is also a recognized test laboratory for conducting testing for Singapore requirements, and UL’s gas test laboratory in Northbrook, Illinois, and Toronto, Canada, are also qualified to issue International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) test report for Singapore Safety Mark application. ​
