On June 20, 2025, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport of the Netherlands released the Regulation of the State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport of 12 June 2025, amending the Packaging Commodities Act Regulation (Government Gazette 2025, 20807).
This Regulation amends the Netherlands' Packaging Commodities Act Regulation regarding substances added in Part A of the Annex and some technical changes, such as:
- Revising the use of substances and their specifications, including those for phthalates and metals
- Aligning the specific migration limit (SML) for some substances with those in Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on food contact plastics
- Making some technical amendments and corrections
These amendments took effect on July 1, 2025.
