The bidirectional electric vehicle (EV) charging ecosystem is evolving rapidly as electric vehicles become increasingly integrated with the power system. Bidirectional charging enables energy to flow between electric vehicles and the grid, homes and connected loads, creating new opportunities for energy management, grid support and resilience.

Join UL Solutions experts for an overview of bidirectional power transfer and the standards shaping the future of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications.

Unlock key insights into bidirectional EV charging

During this session, attendees will gain insights into common bidirectional charging use cases, charging interfaces and certification considerations for AC and DC charging systems. The webinar will also explore how UL Standards, IEC and national standards apply to bidirectional charging technologies and related V2X applications.

Additionally, our experts will discuss:

  • Vehicle-to-grid (V2G), vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) applications
  • UL Standards, IEC and regional standards applicable to bidirectional charging
  • Safety and certification requirements for bidirectional AC and DC charging
  • Grid code compliance considerations
  • Current and future V2X standardization activities

Whether you are developing EV charging products, evaluating certification requirements or planning future bidirectional charging solutions, this webinar will provide practical insights into the standards and trends shaping the future of electric mobility.
