Dr. Anastasia ‘Ana’ Behr is a chemical engineer by training and sustainability scientist by practice, driven by the belief that science-informed sustainability is good business.
In her role as Senior Director for Sustainability Science and Technology, Dr. Behr combines her training and passions as she works with industry leaders to accelerate circularity and decarbonization strategies across products and value chains.
Worldwide standards development
At UL Solutions, Dr. Behr leads global engagement with sustainability and technical stakeholders, driving the development of harmonized carbon accounting and circularity standards that are both responsible and responsive to today’s urgent challenges.
Dr. Behr is a leader in sustainability standards and frameworks development through her participation in several organizations, including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Global Electronics Council’s Expert Ad Hoc Group, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s Action and Market Instruments Technical Working Group, and others.
Through this work, she helps lay the foundation for critical global conversations—rooted in safety, science, and trust—that help move industries toward a more sustainable future by recognizing and rewarding impact.
