Akio Yasuhara is a leading expert in the optical radiation product safety field, including laser, LED and lamp radiation, at UL Solutions.

Akio Yasuhara

Akio Yasuhara has been with UL Solutions since 2005, serving as an experienced optical radiation safety expert based in Japan. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering.

At UL Solutions, Yasuhara has been deeply involved in laser and photobiological safety, conducting conformity assessments of numerous products and training stakeholders. As a regional lead reviewer, he specializes in UV, visible and IR radiation safety across various sectors, including consumer, automotive, medical, industrial and commercial products.

He is dedicated to helping manufacturers with his expertise and creating a safer world.
