EVS Releases Standards on Jewelry

The Estonian Centre for Standardization (EVS) has released several standards on jewelry, namely:

EVS-EN ISO 11427: 2016 Jewelry - Determination of Silver in Silver Jewelry Alloys - Volumetric (Potentiometric) Method Using Potassium Bromide It establishes a volumetric method for determining silver in jewelry alloys 2004
EVS-EN ISO 11490: 2016 Jewelry - Determination of Palladium in Palladium Jewelry Alloys - Gravimetric Determination with Dimethylglyoxime It establishes a gravimetric method for determining palladium in palladium jewelry alloys 2004
EVS-EN ISO 11494: 2016 Jewelry - Determination of Platinum in Platinum Jewelry Alloys - ICP-OES Method Using Yttrium as Internal Standard Element It establishes a method for determining of platinum in platinum jewelry alloys -

The standards were included in the latest EVS Journal’s List of ‘New Standards and Documentation Standardized’, published on November 1, 2016.
