Sara A. Greenstein

President, Environment

Sara Greenstein leads our focus on activating and capturing the value of sustainability efforts for customers through UL Environment.

Prior to her current role, Sara’s ten-year career at UL has included time as Chief Commercial Officer, and Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. Sara was elected Vice President in 2003 and Senior Vice President in 2005—serving as the youngest elected officer in the 118-year history of the company.

Sara is regularly featured in the media, discussing topics such as indoor air quality, product sustainability, supply chain transparency, and other environmental topics. Her expertise has been relied upon by: The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Orlando Sentinel, Journal of Engineering, Information Technology Newsweekly and many more.

Sara was also honored as a “Top 40 under 40” executive by Crain’s Chicago Business in November 2007.
