EUROPEAN UNION - The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released a practical guide for downstream users’ preparation of a chemical safety report. This chemical safety report is prepared for instances when a downstream user's use of a substance is not covered by the supplier's exposure scenarios.
The document provides the following:
- Gathering information on the substance
- Performing a chemical safety assessment
- Documenting the downstream user chemical safety report
- Communicating the outcome of the report to customers
- Reporting to the agency
The guidance is part of the Chemical Safety Report/Exposure Scenario Roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
