October 16, 2015

EUROPEAN UNION - The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released a practical guide for downstream users’ preparation of a chemical safety report. This chemical safety report is prepared for instances when a downstream user's use of a substance is not covered by the supplier's exposure scenarios.

The document provides the following:

  • Gathering information on the substance
  • Performing a chemical safety assessment
  • Documenting the downstream user chemical safety report
  • Communicating the outcome of the report to customers
  • Reporting to the agency

The guidance is part of the Chemical Safety Report/Exposure Scenario Roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
