China Energy Label Product Scope Expansion and a New Standard for Air Conditioners Products

The China Energy Label (CEL) regulator issued public consultation notice for expanding product scope coverage to the following products based on the following standards.

The China Energy Label (CEL) regulator issued public consultation notice (already closed) for expanding product scope coverage to the following products based on the following standards: Both minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) and Energy Efficiency Grade are established within the standards. The implementation date is targeted to be May 1, 2020.

Low ambient temperature air source heat pumps (water chiller) packages

GB 37480-2019

 

Apart from that, public consultation is also called for adopting new standards for the following products:

Unitary air conditioners

Unitary air conditioners

Implementation of the above new standard adoption is targeted to be May 1, 2020.
