NORTHBROOK, Illinois — August 23, 2022 — UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, today announced that Pintyplus™ Water-based Spray Paints received UL GREENGUARD Gold Certification. Pintyplus™ is manufactured by M&P Export Management Corporation, a supplier of water-based spray coatings.
UL GREENGUARD is a certification given to products that meet certain standards for low chemical emissions. GREENGUARD Gold puts forth more stringent criteria, meaning that the product has been evaluated for even lower total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions levels that are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. GREENGUARD Gold Certified products meet stricter chemical emission testing to help create healthier indoor living environments and minimize the release of pollutants that can contribute to health issues.

To certify the products, UL Solutions performed rigorous tests against the GREENGUARD Gold certification standard to confirm low emissions at the highest level of the standard. Recognizing that retailers and consumers are seeking out healthier products, M&P Export Management Corporation set an objective to assess Pintyplus for chemical emissions by pursuing a third-party certification thus contributing to better indoor air quality. Products were tested to meet stringent emissions standards, screening for chemicals and volatile organic compounds, also known as VOCs, which pollute indoor air and contribute to health issues.
