UL Announces Carlos Correia as New President for Supply Chain & Sustainability Business

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 20, 2014 – UL, a global safety science leader, has announced the appointment of Carlos Correia as president of its global Supply Chain & Sustainability business.

Correia, who has served since 2012 as UL’s Vice President, Global Sales, will be responsible for advancing the organization’s ambitious growth strategy in the Information & Insights (i&i), Environment and Furniture divisions, while continuing to deliver global strategic business acumen.

During Correia’s 12-year tenure at UL, he has also held leadership positions in the Global High-Tech business, based in Japan, as well as Global Consumer Products and Consumer & Industrial businesses, based in Europe and Latin America. Prior to joining UL, he served as the Head of Marketing and Information Services for the European Organization for Testing and Certification, as well as the Head of Quality & Industry Consulting Practice at Silicon Telecom Consultants.

Correia holds a masters in Business Administration from the United Business Institutes (UBI) Brussels, Belgium, and an Engineering Degree in Maritime Machinery from the Nautical School Infante D. Henrique (ENIDH), Lisbon, Portugal.

Correia succeeds Sara Greenstein, who has led the Supply Chain & Sustainability business since 2012. Greenstein will continue her focus on consumer needs in her new appointment as Senior Vice President at United States Steel.
