OVERVIEW

UL is leading end-to-end transaction security services, facilitating the deployment of secure infrastructures built on new technologies and helping ensure that they operate optimally and securely. In loyalty and ticketing, our state-of-the-art test tools and services work to create successful deployments of interoperable systems such as near field communication (NFC) in automated fare collection (AFC). Our extensive work in mobile payments, notably chip and pin, helps customers achieve full compliance and technical interoperability within the NFC system. Our leading biometrics research is dedicated to reducing hacking, fraud and malware associated with the latest transaction technologies, and our future-focused initiatives related to smart metering and machine-to-machine transactions are working to shape this rapidly transforming field.
