UL 60950-1, Second Edition

Date of publication – March 27, 2007; revised: December 19, 2011

Date of withdrawal of previous standards -- As of March 1, 2013, new products submitted for certification will only be evaluated using the requirements in UL 60950-1 Second Edition, dated December 19, 2011.

Until March 1, 2013, new products submitted for certification will be evaluated using the requirements in UL 60950-1 Second Edition, dated December 19, 2011, unless instructed otherwise by the Applicant.

Products that are certified by UL to previous Information Technology Equipment (ITE) Standards may continue to be certified without further investigation, unless otherwise communicated by UL. However, any significant changes made to these products will be evaluated to the Standard(s) used for new product submittals as of the date of the change request, i.e., UL 60950-1 Second Edition.

Requirement effective date (RED)  - There presently are no active REDs for the sub-clauses in UL 60950-1 Second Edition, dated December 19, 2011.

A UL Effective Date is one established by UL and is not part of the ANSI approved standard.
