Overview

Our Green Laboratory Practices Certification provides a special certification for health care facilities with reduced environmental impact. This voluntary, multi-attribute environmental certification demonstrates that a facility’s processes and operating procedures have undergone exhaustive auditing to comply with our stringent third-party environmental performance standards.

Benefits

The Green Laboratory Practices Certification Standard sets metrics for a wide variety of criteria in some or all of the following categories: environmental policies; usage and specification of equipment and building materials; purchasing and operations; lighting performance and use; cleaning products; consumable supplies; and behavioral policies.

With the Green Laboratory Practices Certification, hospitals and health care facilities validate their commitment to delivering a healthier space for employees and patients while reducing their impact on the health of the environment.
