NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 20, 2016 — UL, the science safety company dedicated to promoting safe living and working environments, announced today that 2017 will mark the first time that the annual UL Wercs European User Group and SafeCom Conference will be held in succession.
Historically hosted by Safeware Quasar, the SafeCom Conference is the largest chemical regulatory conference held in the UK. The conference attracts over 150 international attendees and is designed to cover a range of topics affecting the chemical industry in relation to sustaining compliance with chemical regulations. Likewise, the UL Wercs European User Group event takes place annually to bring together UL Wercs users for the opportunity to interact with chemical regulatory industry peers, learn about the latest software functionality and receive critical regulatory updates.
Since the UL acquisition of Safeware Quasar in August, there has been significant investment in infrastructure, personnel and product development to further aid strategic growth for Safeware Quasar. As well as enhancing the support to existing customers, UL’s acquisition of Safeware Quasar has improved and extended the availability of Safeware Quasar software products and regulatory services on a global scale.
Now, by offering the UL Wercs European User Group event in tandem with SafeCom, UL is further strengthening the mutual benefit to all chemical regulatory software customers by introducing Safeware Quasar’s expanded portfolio to the European attendees of the User Group, as well as offering User Group attendees the chance to visit the highly educational SafeCom Conference at a discounted rate.
Hazi Mistry, Director of Safeware Quasar European Operations, says, “Our customers have seen enhanced service improvements in being part of the UL family. UL’s commitment and continued support to enhance the Safeware Quasar software solutions and services on a global scale is opening up new markets and helping to satisfy the demand for our products.”
Further commitment to Safeware Quasar growth has been demonstrated by the recent launch of Safeware Quasar’s latest Safety Data Sheet management tool, SDS Smartshare, as well as the availability of the WercSmart chemical supply chain platform for retailers. Attendees of the European User Group event will get the exclusive opportunity to learn more about what the expanded capabilities and availability of these solutions means for them and their business growth.
UL Wercs European User Group and SafeCom Conference will be held May 8 – 12 in Nottinghamshire, England. For more information about attending SafeCom, please visit http://www.safeware-int.com/us/safecom-2016-save-the-date/.
