UL Consumer Consolidates Three Divisions to Expand Global Impact of Mission

January 20, 2016
To meet the needs and expectations of our clients as well as grow our business in a sustainable manner and expand the global impact of our mission, the Responsible Sourcing (RS), Registrar and Consumer Products divisions are combined effective January 19th, 2016.  The new combined division will be re-branded as Consumer & Retail Services (CRS), a name that better describes our focus, offerings, competencies and the markets we serve.

Whether through audits, inspections, or testing, our services protect brands and strengthen supply chains.  Under this new structure, all commercial, fulfillment and field services will be integrated into one platform, enabling us to increase our relevance by combining the strengths of the divisions. Working as one UL, the new division will offer our value proposition in a more cohesive way and a harmonized portfolio combining all services.

Navigating global markets can be complex and challenging. UL is deeply aware that safety and quality assurance is one of the most important stages in a products’ route to market and through the new CRS division we are putting in place a smarter supply chain management platform for our clients. We firmly believe these changes will provide the foundation for us to meet the needs of our clients.
