OEHHA Receives Petition from Center for Environmental Health to Amend Allowable Dose Level of Lead

August 18, 2015

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has received a petition from the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) for the administrative rulemaking that will repeal or amend Proposition 65 Regulations that pertains to the maximum allowable dose level for lead.

The petition paper sent to the office aims to urge OEHHA to promulgate a regulation that clearly establish that the maximum allowable dose level (MADLs) should be in a single day exposure limit and that averaging over time is not permitted in assessing compliance with the regulatory MADL.
