This webinar will be presented by UL in English on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM (EDT).
Overview A safety assessment is mandatory under the EU Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) and must be performed before the toy is placed on the market. The overall aim of the chemical safety assessment process is to ensure that a manufacturer carefully considers the chemical hazards that the toy, its materials and contained substances might present to the health of the child.
This webinar will discuss how Chemical Safety Assessments can help reduce and optimize testing, and can be useful in assessing compliance with International chemical restrictions.
UL’s monthly toy webinar series is an ideal resource for retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, quality assurance personnel, chief marketing officers, and all persons interested in the ever changing toy market, and are welcome to register.
