UL is evolving its international operating model in order to better adapt to a changing business environment in Europe. As part of this operational change, we have changed the name of UL AG to UL GmbH.

The name change went into effect on July 1, and we are asking clients to update the payee name from UL AG to UL GmbH on remittances starting October 1, 2018. Payments should no longer be directed to UL AG after this date.

This is a name change only and is the result of a legal form change from “AG” to “GmbH” which is similar to an “Inc.” changing to an “LLC.” The only thing that is changing is the name on the invoice. You can expect the same service from UL.

Please update the payee name from UL AG to UL GmbH on remittances starting October 1, 2018. Payments should no longer be directed to UL AG after this date. Bank account numbers do not change.

No, there will be no change to existing quotes and orders.

Please update your payment systems to reflect the payee name change from UL AG to UL GmbH on remittances starting October 1, 2018. Payments should no longer be directed to UL AG after this date. Your UL customer service representative is available at www.ul.com/contactus for specific questions or to provide additional documentation that you may require to update your system.

We will accept payments for projects invoiced under POs with UL AG. No reissuance necessary at this time.
