India’s government has launched a new online portal as part of their efforts to eliminate child labor. The portal, Platform for Effective Enforcement for No Child Labor (PENCIL), will allow officials, charities, and police to easily share information and combine and coordinate their efforts on child labor cases. Designed to register, rescue, and rehabilitate child workers, it is hoped the portal will boost the enforcement of child labor prohibition laws and end the exploitation of millions of minors.
