On May 19, 2017, the government of Hong Kong published the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Amendment of Schedules 1 and 2) Notice 2017.

The notice updates the safety standards for toys and some children’s products listed in the Schedule 1 by adding ISO 8124–7:2015 Safety of toys – Part 7: Requirements and test methods for finger paints under the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Cap 424).

Schedule 2 is also revised for certain safety standards for children’s products.

The notice will come into effect on April 1, 2018.
