The European Commission (EC) is consulting the public on the proposed decisions concerning substances of very high concern.

The drafts are:

    • This draft Commission Decision aims at identifying DCHP as a substance of very high concern due to its classification as toxic for reproduction properties according to Article 57© of Regulation (EC) No 19072006 (REACH) and due to its endocrine disrupting properties whose effects to human health give rise to an equivalent level of concern according to Article 57(f) of that Regulation.

  • Draft Commission Implementing Decision on the identification of benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid 1,2 anhydride (trimellitic anhydride, TMA) as a substance of very high concern according to Article 57(f) of Regulation (EC) No 19072006 of the European Parliament and of the Council
    • This draft Commission Decision aims at identifying TMA as a substance of very high concern due to its respiratory sensitization properties according to Article 57(f) of Regulation (EC) No 19072006 (REACH).

Both drafts are open for public consultation until December 3, 2017.
