The European Commission (EC) is aiming to restrict the use of Zinc oxide as a colorant in uncoated non-nano form (cosmetic products). The draft is released through Draft Commission Regulation (EU) …/… amending Annex IV to Regulation (EC) No 12232009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products.

The draft replaces Entry 144 of Annex IV to Regulation (EC) No 12232009 with the following:EC Aims to Restrict Zinc Oxide as Colorant for Cosmetic Products

A consultation for this will end on March 13, 2017.
