Executive Officers

Jennifer F. Scanlon, President and Chief Executive Officer, UL Solutions

Jennifer F. Scanlon is president and CEO of UL Solutions and a member of the board of directors, roles she has held since 2019. With her deep commitment to science and technology and her extensive experience leading industrial companies, Scanlon leads UL Solutions in its mission of working for a safer world.

Before joining UL Solutions, Scanlon served from November 2016 to April 2019 as president and CEO of USG Corporation (USG), a then publicly traded manufacturer of building products. Scanlon spent a total of 16 years at USG and led the company through a major international expansion, digital transformation and sustainable products evolution.

Scanlon currently serves as a member of the boards of directors of Norfolk Southern Corporation, the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago, and on the board of trustees of the University of Notre Dame. Scanlon is also the secretary-treasurer of the board of the US-China Business Council and was appointed to the U.S.-India CEO Forum. She previously served as a member of the board of directors of USG from September 2016 to April 2019.

Scanlon earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Relations and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame.

Linda Chapin, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

As head of Human Resources, Linda delivers a safe and secure experience for UL Solutions’ employees and customers. She leads people strategy, experience, DE&I, HR advisory, EHS, corporate sustainability and global HR services.

John Genovesi, Executive Vice President and President, Software and Advisory

John leads the Software and Advisory group for UL Solutions, connecting data and science to protect customer value chains by enhancing product quality, optimizing supply chains and advancing enterprise sustainability.

Lynn Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer

Lynn harnesses the power of technology, disciplined enterprise project management and strategy implementation to accelerate innovation and transformation that increases value for UL Solutions’ customers.

Jackie McLaughlin, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer

Jackie leads the Legal, Brand Integrity, Ethics and Investigations, Government Affairs and Corporate Communications teams with a steadfast commitment to promoting and protecting UL Solutions' brand and reputation and shaping and amplifying the organization’s voice in public policy.

Weifang guides the strategy and delivery of testing, inspection and certification solutions that help customers mitigate risk, differentiate their products and achieve global market acceptance.
