Marla Gottschalk joined the UL Board of Directors in 2009, where she currently serves as chair of the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Nominating and Governance committee. She provides guidance on UL’s financial planning and long-term growth strategy by using her deep understanding of multinational corporate operations.
As the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Pampered Chef — a seller of high-quality kitchen and entertaining products — Marla led their executive team for 10 years. Prior to Pampered Chef, she held several executive roles at Kraft Foods, including senior vice president of Financial Planning and Investor Relations, executive vice president and general manager of Post Cereals.
Marla currently sits on the board for Big Lots Inc., where she serves as the chairperson for the Audit Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee. She also serves on the board of directors for Potbelly where she is the Chairperson for the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation Committee, the board of directors for Reynolds Consumer products as the chair for the Audit Committee and is a board advisor at Ocean Spray Cranberries.
Marla earned her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and a Masters of Management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She also earned a Certified Public Accountant certificate.
