The Water Quality Gap
Water distributed by a municipal system is not regulated for most contaminants regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act between the service line to a building and the tap and the quality of that water becomes the responsibility of the property owner.

- Step 3: Onsite initial quality assurance audit - review of your facility's water system and sample collection
- Step 4: Presentation and review of analytical results and audit findings
- Step 5: Routine follow-up to assess ongoing compliance
Facilities that comply with UL's Water QualityCheck program will be authorized to display a certificate of compliance with UL's Water QualityCheck program. UL will also work with your facility to promote this accomplishment with your employees, customers and accreditors.
