The UL EV task group
UL has an EV task group comprising a core of UL safety experts
dedicated to assisting the automotive industry worldwide in its efforts
to put EVs on the road. The task group was established to bring together
UL engineers having expertise in a number of EV-related systems and components.
The purpose of the task group is to:
- Address safety concerns with EV infrastructure and EV charging systems
- Interact with organizations such as Society of Automotive Engineers,
Electric Power Research Institute, Japan Electric Vehicle Association,
National Fire Protection Association (National Electrical Code ® ), the global automotive industry, and others
- Develop standards that address EV safety
- Stay on the forefront of developments with EVs and alternate fuel vehicles.
