Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) Program

Let UL help you gain Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval for all your telecommunications products.

On June 2, 2000 UL was designated by the FCC as a TCB, capable of certifying devices for market entry and network connection. What previously required sole FCC approval, which could take up to eight or more weeks, UL's certification process provides increased efficiency at a reasonable cost.

Our program is designed to complement our many other conformity assessment and testing services you already use. As a full service provider, UL will streamline global market access for your products with a single contact to manage the process.

UL services for global market access include:

  • EMC/EMI and ETSI testing.
  • U.S. and international product safety testing and certification for UL60950/EN60950 and the CB Scheme.
  • TL 9000 registration.
  • Terminal equipment testing and certification for multiple worldwide locations, including Australia, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan.
  • Commercial Inspection and Testing Services.
  • Network Equipment-Building System (NEBS) and Integrated NEBS/ETSI testing services.
