Sign Listing Services

If you assemble, install or manufacture electric signs, UL’s Listing Service can help you sell your products, get them accepted readily in all jurisdictions, and showcase your installation expertise to national sign manufacturers who are looking for sign installers in your area.

We have a number of Listing and Recognition programs specifically designed for assemblers, manufacturers, installers and owners of neon and outline lighting systems, illuminated and non-illuminated signs that change messages, and other electric signs.

It is important to realize that most signs are covered under what is called "General Coverage." This means that should you make your signs under our "General Coverage" Listing Service so they comply with the requirements in the Sign Standard, UL 48, only minimal testing at the manufacturing facility is required. Better yet, we make house calls. We will go to your facilities and provide you with training on how to use the UL requirements to your advantage. General Coverage also covers LED signs using the Sign Components Manual (SAM) that contains a list of components and how to use them properly.
