UL can provide you with worldwide Supply Chain Services by way of commercial inspection, testing and auditing services on a wide range of products. These products DO NOT necessarily have to be UL Listed, Recognized or Classified. Products can range from household appliances and electrical goods to tools and toys - virtually all hardline and softline products. UL's global presence allows us to offer reliable, cost-effective and localized service in many product categories.

Commercial inspection services

Our qualified field representatives can visit your supplier's location and perform thorough, comprehensive and objective product inspections - to your specific requirements. This gives you the opportunity to correct a nonconforming shipment and added confidence that the product will meet your requirements when it arrives.

UL can provide you with worldwide Supply Chain Services by way of commercial inspection, testing and auditing services on a wide range of products.
  • First Article Inspection - First piece samples are randomly selected during the initial stages of production. This verifies that your product requirements are being met early on.
  • During Production Inspection - Inspections conducted during the manufacturing process help ensure product compliance.
  • Final Pre-shipment Inspection - Products can be inspected to meet all customer requirements by using an acceptable quality level sampling plan, prior to shipment.

Commercial testing services

UL's qualified laboratories can test products to your specific criteria or to a national or international standard to provide independent verification. Commercial assessment/auditing services

Supplier assessments of new and existing suppliers can be conducted per your quality requirements. UL Staff can audit in the areas of: factory capability, quality control, test equipment review and any other program specific requirements. We can address your social accountability and environmental concerns as well. UL can also assist you in the development and implementation of a vendor evaluation program tailored to your specific needs.

Customized supply chain services
