New UL Security and Signaling MarksUL has adopted a set of three Listing Marks for products evaluated for security and signaling application. The new Marks clearly identify the purpose for which the product was evaluated: security, signaling, or both security and signaling. This change will simplify the job of authorities having jurisdiction by making the meaning of the UL Listing Marks in the area of security and signaling direct and clear: As in the sample marks below, the new Security & Signaling Marks contain 5 components.
![]() The new Marks are being phased in during 2007 and 2008. Between July 2007 and December 31, 2008 both marks can be used, with complete adoption of the new Marks required as of January 1, 2009.
