Equipment Rated Over 600 Volts

Installations of electrical equipment rated over 600 volts that are managed by premises or equipment owners and not the supplying utility are growing rapidly. As a result, equipment rated over 600 volts is increasingly becoming subject to the requirements of the NEC or CEC (in Canada), local ordinances and local code authorities. Many AHJ's are not aware of the extensive amount of equipment rated over 600 volts that UL certifies. Detailed in the below links are the present product categories for which UL certifies equipment rated over 600 volts.

UL can provide a service whether or not there are currently Listed or Classified products under a respective product category. Provided there is a need, UL can develop requirements to List or Classify almost any product, regardless if a product category or UL standard currently exists for that product.

Just click on the Category Control Number (CCN) in front of the product category title for the respective product category Guide Information and any Listings under that category.
