When it comes to families nothing is more important than safety. As a safety testing and certification organization, UL has made it their job for nearly 110 years to ensure the products that hit store shelves – and eventually one’s home– are safe for use. As part of UL’s continued commitment to public safety and to raise awareness on specific family safety issues, UL has created five 60-second public service announcements (PSAs) for radio on the following topics:

• Smoke alarms
• Fire escape planning
• Cooking safety
• Home wiring safety
• Home heating awareness

Public service announcements are a useful tool for communicating safety messages and highlight specific safety issues that are relevant to families today. UL thanks you for sharing these lifesaving messages with your communities by including the PSAs in your local radio segments and posting them on your Web sites.
