"Underwriters Laboratories is pleased to be working with SII to advance our global public safety mission by deploying UL Standards for Safety nationwide in Israel," said Bob Williams, UL Vice President, Global Standards. "As the national standards body in Israel, SII officials are demonstrating foresight in promulgating the world's most trusted and widely recognized set of safety standards across their markets and infrastructure." SII is accredited as a standards writing organization in Israel and represents Israel at the International Standards Organization (ISO) and International Electrical Commission (IEC).
